Waht are the Vacation Homes Like?
All homes are Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 baths with granite countertops, master baths, a beautiful scenic yard, and are specifically used for Retreats. In other words you won't be fasting in someones private home, instead you'll be fasting in a vacation home that will be shared with no more than 4 individuals at a time specifically for juice fasting only. Our homes are all located inside a Guard Gated Country club with ammenities and fitness classes galore.
Who should attend a Sunpoint Spa Juice Fast?
Any individual who is interested in improving their overall health and vitality, except pregnant or breast feeding woman. Important Note: Sunpoint Spa is not equipped to care for individuals who are on heavy medication, have any doctor-defined life-threatening or contagious diseases; have had a kidney or liver transplant, kidney impairment or only one kidney.
Why Should I fast using juice instead of water?
Supplying the body with easily-absorbed nutrients from fruits and vegetables, while the body is cleansing itself in the fasting state, avoids the dangers of total abstinence associated with water fasting. You can be confident that this method is both safe and beneficial. A juicing fast will extract essential cleansers, energizers, builders, and regenerators of the human system and require a minimum amount of digestive effort. Therefore the metabolic energy can be used 100% for cleansing mucoid matter from the lymph and toxins from the cellular tissue. Unless you have a slow metabolism, fasting on water will become a near impossible exercise for most individuals. The combination of water, lemon, and cayenne pepper isn't enjoyable at all, that is why we do not recommend these type of fasts. We have seen much better results by juicing fasting with fresh organic vegetables and fruits vs' water and additives.
How long is the recommended stay at Sunpoint's Vacation Home?
The length of juice fasting can range anywhere from three to fourteen days. Three days is an excellent tune up. Eight days is standard and thirty days is the standard used by health sanitariums in Europe. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
What if I get hungry and need to eat?
Believe it or not, odds are you won't be very hungry. Remember, juicing is giving you the equivalent of at least 2 pounds of fruits and veggies per day. Combine that with water, tea, and broth; and hunger really isn't an issue. However, if you choose to modify the fast we suggest doing so with no more than a few thin slices of avocado or a quarter piece of banana. Usually those with health restrictions such as diabetes or hypoglycemia, benefit from bananas and avocados because their slow to digest and help maintain a stable blood sugar level.

Any raw fruit or vegetable. The veggies may be steamed or cooked. Just remember that when you cook anything it lessens the nutritional value.
